The variety is early-ripening and high-yielding. It possesses moderate resistance to fungal diseases and low winter hardiness. The clusters are medium to large, dense, with round, dark blue berries covered with a waxy bloom.
Egiodola belongs to the 'teinturier' category due to its juicy colored pulp. Wine from this variety is characterized by an intense color, high alcohol content, and notes of raspberry, herbs, and spices. It is used primarily in blends.
