Variety description

The variety is an interspecific hybrid obtained by crossing the Sauvignon Blanc variety and the Kozma 20-3 form. Its genetic composition includes genes from the Vitis amurensis, Vitis berlandieri, Vitis rupestris, and Vitis vinifera species. The variety is known by the selection number UD-76.026 and the commercial name Sauvignon Kretos.

The plant belongs to the group of fungus-resistant varieties (PIWI), possessing high resistance to downy mildew and moderate resistance to powdery mildew. It is a wine variety with white berries, used for creating fresh wines with aromas of gooseberry, green apple, and citrus.
