ESTALADIÑA is a local variety, also known by the name «Pan y Carne». The genetic relationship with the Merenzao and Trousseau varieties requires clarification. The variety is adapted to the climatic conditions of the region and shows tolerance to high temperatures during the growing season.

Morphologically, the variety is distinguished by small bunches and small blue-black berries with non-pigmented pulp. Wines made from it are characterized by good acidity, fine tannins, pale color, and pronounced aromas of red fruits, herbs, and flowers. The variety is used both for creating single-varietal wines and in blends.
