The variety belongs to the mid-season maturity group. The vine is characterized by moderate to high vigor and a semi-erect growth habit. Given its insufficient fertility, long cane pruning is recommended for the variety. The plant is well adapted to drought and poor soils, however, it may be subject to millerandage under unfavorable weather conditions during flowering.

Bunches are medium-sized, compact, often winged. Berries are small, round or slightly oval in shape, dark blue or black in color, covered with a waxy bloom. The flesh is juicy, slightly acidic, the skin is of medium thickness. Wines produced from this variety are characterized by complex aromas and deep color.
