The variety is a natural color mutation of the Garnacha variety. The bushes have high vigor. The leaf is medium, rounded, three- or five-lobed, with a glabrous underside. Bunches are medium or large, cylindrical or cylindro-conical in shape. Berries are medium-sized, rounded, acquiring a yellow-green hue with a golden tint upon ripening.

The variety belongs to the mid- or late-ripening period. It is well-adapted to hot and dry climates, and is resistant to drought and wood diseases. At the same time, it shows susceptibility to downy mildew, gray mold, bacterial necrosis, phomopsis (escoriosis), and European grapevine moth, and is also prone to magnesium deficiency.

The yield of the variety is medium and stable; however, crop load management is required to ensure raw material quality. Short pruning and bush vine (gobelet) training are recommended. The variety is used for the production of dry and fortified wines, which are characterized by high alcohol content and a tendency toward low acidity.
