The variety is of Mediterranean origin. The plant is characterized by vigorous growth and requires shoot training on a trellis due to its sensitivity to wind exposure.

The ripening period is medium to medium-late. The variety shows sensitivity to powdery mildew and has moderate resistance to grey mold during the post-veraison period.

The berries are medium-sized, with a color ranging from greenish to amber-yellow; a pinkish hue is possible if overripe. The skin is thick, the flesh is juicy, and the wines are characterized by pronounced acidity and an aromatic profile with notes of citrus, flowers, melon, almond, and anise.
