MATURANA BLANCA has medium to above-average vigor with an upright shoot growth habit and hermaphrodite flowers. The leaf is rounded, slightly lobed, with three or five lobes. Bunches are small, conical, and quite compact, with small, round or slightly oval yellow-green berries covered with a thick waxy bloom.

The variety has medium yield and some resistance to powdery mildew (Oidium) and downy mildew (Mildew), while exhibiting high sensitivity to grey mold (Botrytis cinerea), sunburn, and wind exposure. From an agrotechnical standpoint, the variety is suitable for short pruning.

The grapes are used to produce wines with high alcohol levels and balanced acidity, with aromas dominated by notes of citrus, apple, exotic fruits, and herbaceous undertones. The berry juice is characterized by a low pH and high tartaric acid content.
