The variety is a natural color mutation of the Mauzac variety. The vines are characterized by medium vigor. The leaves are predominantly medium-sized, round or elongated, five-lobed, with arachnoid pubescence on the underside.

The clusters are medium or small, characterized by high density, and have a cylindrical or cylindrical-conical shape. The berries are medium or small in size, round, and acquire a dark pink color upon ripening. It is a mid-season variety, ripening three weeks after the Chasselas variety.

The yield of the variety is medium, and the shoots ripen well. The variety is sensitive to powdery mildew, but shows less sensitivity to grey mold compared to the base variety Mauzac blanc. It is found rarely, predominantly in southwestern France.
