The variety is a rare heirloom, known under the synonyms Mézes Fehér, Honigler, and Medenac Beli. The plant is characterized by high yield and good drought tolerance, however, it is sensitive to winter frosts.
The variety is prone to gray mold, powdery mildew, and downy mildew. It is used exclusively for the production of white wines, which possess a fruity profile with aromas of acacia honey, green apples, grapefruit, and currants.
