The variety is a pink-berried mutation of the French variety Melon de Bourgogne. It belongs to the early-ripening category and is intended for use in winemaking.
The berries have a pink or pinkish-red skin color with colorless pulp. The variety shows sensitivity to downy mildew, while possessing resistance to powdery mildew and gray mold.
Wine from this variety is characterized by lightness, freshness, and floral notes. Due to insufficient intensity of skin pigmentation, the variety is not suitable for the production of full-bodied red wines.
