The vine is vigorous or moderately vigorous with a shoot maturation rate of 90–95%. Leaves are medium-sized, rounded, five-lobed, and moderately dissected. Flowers are hermaphroditic and pollinate well. Clusters are cylindrical-conical, medium-dense, weighing 113–160 g. Berries are rounded, dark blue, almost black, covered with a heavy waxy bloom, with firm skin and juicy flesh.
The growing season is 152–164 days with an active temperature sum of 3000–3300°C. The variety is sensitive to oidium, dampness, and drought, and possesses relative resistance to downy mildew and gray mold. Frost resistance is low, about -20°C. The wines are characterized by soft tannins and pronounced fruit aromatics.
