Variety description

The variety was obtained by clonal selection from the Merlo population. It belongs to mid-season varieties, reaching technological maturity in the second half of September. Clusters are medium-sized, conical in shape, often with one or two wings.

It possesses a high capacity for sugar accumulation. Wine from this clone is distinguished by a rich dark red color, fruity aroma, harmonious taste, and long aftertaste. Good yield is achieved when grafted onto Shasla x Berlandieri 41 B and Berlandieri x Riparia SO4 rootstocks.

In scientific studies, the clone is examined in the context of studying resistance to abiotic stresses, in particular to drought.
