Variety description

10 August 2026

The variety is a hybrid obtained by crossing Seyve-Villard 5-276 (Seyval Blanc) and a pair of varieties Riesling × Pinot Gris. The vines are characterized by strong growth and upright shoot direction. Leaves are firm, bunches are large and cylindrical, berries are round, yellow-green in color with thick skin.

The variety belongs to the mid-late maturity group. It possesses increased frost resistance down to -23 °C, is resistant to powdery mildew (Oidium) and relatively resistant to downy mildew (Mildew), however, it is sensitive to gray mold (Botrytis). The variety is prone to overcropping, sensitive to drought, and is not recommended for planting on light sandy soils.

The grapes are used to create white wines with a neutral taste and floral-fruity aromas. It is often used in breeding as a partner for developing new disease-resistant varieties.
