The variety is historical and belongs to the Carmenets family. The vines are characterized by high vigor and productivity with an upright or semi-upright shoot growth habit. The leaf is five-lobed, deeply incised, with dense pubescence on the underside.
Bunches are small or medium, dense, and cylindrical in shape. Berries are small or medium, round, dark blue in color with a waxy bloom and thick skin. Berry juice is uncolored, and the taste is characterized as slightly herbaceous.
Ripening period is medium or medium-late. The variety is susceptible to downy mildew, anthracnose, grey mold, and frost, while being low-susceptible to flower abortion. It requires crop thinning to ensure high-quality berry ripening.
Wine variety intended for winemaking. Historically used for creating wines with low alcohol content.
