The variety belongs to early maturity groups. The vines are vigorous; long pruning and the use of trellises are recommended. Leaves are pentagonal, three- or five-lobed; young shoots have red internodes.
Clusters are small or medium-sized, cylindro-conical, and compact. Berries are small, ellipsoid, pink in color, acquiring a red hue upon full ripening. The pulp is juicy, with a characteristic aroma.
The variety has high susceptibility to downy mildew, powdery mildew, and grey mold, while being relatively resistant to winter frosts. It is used primarily for the production of rich, aromatic wines with medium acidity, and less frequently as a table grape.
