The variety is a product of crossing the varieties «Sirius» and «Villard Blanc» (according to updated data — «Vidal Blanc»). The genetic composition includes genes from the species Vitis vinifera, Vitis berlandieri, and Vitis rupestris. The variety has medium-strong growth, good cane maturation, and medium to high yield.

The ripening period is early or medium; the harvest usually takes place no later than the «Müller-Thurgau» variety. The berries are white with a greenish-yellow tint. Wines from this variety are characterized by moderate acidity and flavor-aromatic properties similar to white Burgundian wines.

The variety is characterized by high resistance to downy mildew and powdery mildew, as well as medium or high resistance to gray mold, which allows for a reduction in the volume of fungicide use. «Villaris» is used as a parent form for breeding new varieties, such as «Voltis» and «Floreal».
