The variety was bred in 1963 at the South Moravian breeding station Znojmo. The genetic basis of the variety consists of a combination of the parent forms Riesling Rot and Bouvier.
The plant belongs to early-maturing varieties. It is characterized by moderate resistance to fungal diseases, while susceptibility to gray mold is noted.
The grape is a wine variety and is used in winemaking primarily in the southeastern part of Moravia. The resulting wines are distinguished by their full body, moderate acidity, and soft fruity tones in the aroma.
