ActiveVitis vinifera L. · Common grape vine
TIMOTHY SHEEHAN
10 August 2026
The vine is characterized by high vigor and perfect flowers. The leaves are medium or large, five-lobed, and dark green. The bunches are pyramidal in shape and medium to large in size. The berries are medium, round, and have a greenish-yellow or amber color.
The variety is thermophilic with moderate winter hardiness; it prefers poor, stony soils and coastal climatic conditions. It possesses drought tolerance and high yield, but requires protection against downy mildew and the European grapevine moth.
Wines produced from this variety have moderate acidity, notes of citrus, pear, peach, and herbaceous undertones. Depending on the production technology and terroir, they can exhibit a slight saltiness and a mineral character.
