Dimiat is a white grape variety traditional to the Balkan Peninsula. It is one of the most common varieties in Bulgaria, where it is used to produce white wines characterized by lightness and the ability to reflect terroir features.
The variety is dual-purpose and can be classified as either a wine or table grape. Wines made from it are valued for their freshness and minerality, with the potential to create more complex beverages using specialized processing techniques.
