The variety belongs to the species Vitis vinifera and is also known by the names Corbeau or Bonarda in Argentina. The variety has late ripening. Its bunches and berries are medium-sized, the berry skin is thick, and the color is black or dark blue.

Wines from this variety possess soft tannins and moderate acidity. The aromatic profile is characterized by notes of blackberry, black cherry, plum, violet, licorice, and black pepper. The variety is considered within the framework of viticulture adaptation programs for climate change.
