The variety Hárslevelű T.311 is the result of clonal selection of the traditional Hungarian variety Hárslevelű, also known as Linden-leaf. This clone was selected in Tarcal to improve yield metrics and the quality characteristics of winemaking products.
Hárslevelű grapes are characterized by loose bunches and thin-skinned berries. The fruit is used to produce varietal white wines and is also one of the main components of Tokaj wines, which possess distinct aromas of honey and linden blossom.
