Hárslevelű K.9 is a clone of the base variety Hárslevelű, developed to improve product quality indicators. The main goal of the selection was to increase yield stability and obtain more uniform bunch sizes, which contributes to improving the quality of the resulting wine.

Wines from this clone possess aromas of linden honey, elderberry, peach, and pear. Biologically, the clone is characterized by stable bud fertility rates. In scientific research, it is often used as an object for comparing genetic variability and also undergoes virus diagnostic procedures to ensure healthy planting material.

This variety is intended exclusively for industrial use. It is used for the production of high-quality dry and sweet wines, including wines from botrytized grapes, which are traditional for the wine-growing regions of Hungary.
