The variety was obtained in 1955 as a result of crossing the Helfensteiner and Heroldrebe varieties. The bushes have medium-strong vigor, use of vigorous rootstocks is recommended. Lateral shoot formation is rated as medium; the variety is characterized by susceptibility to fungal diseases.
Bunches are medium-sized, loose. Berries are dark blue, round, and medium-sized. The yield of the variety is rated as above average. Sugar content of the berries reaches 23.84%.
Technical variety intended for wine production. Wine from this grape is distinguished by its full body, ruby color, and spicy fruity bouquet. The variety is rare, found primarily in Germany and Belgium.
