The variety belongs to ancient landrace crops originating from western Switzerland. The vines have moderate vigor and the canes ripen well. Leaves are medium-sized, rounded, five-lobed, with deep sinuses. The variety is sensitive to frosts during the flowering period and has low resistance to fungal diseases and rot, preferring sites protected from the wind.
Clusters are medium-sized, conical or cylindrical-conical in shape, and of medium density. Berries are medium, round, yellow-green in color, sometimes with a brownish hue, covered with thin, firm skin with a waxy bloom. The flesh is juicy and delicate. The variety is multipurpose, used both for fresh consumption and for the production of light, neutral wines.
