The variety is early-ripening. Morphologically, it is characterized by small bunches and medium-sized, round, golden-colored berries. The plant has a tendency toward ovary abortion, known as coulure.
The grape is a wine variety intended for the production of white wines, often included in blends with other autochthonous varieties of the Canary Islands. In some databases, Gual is listed as a synonym for the Malvasia Fina variety.
