The variety is mid-late, characterized by early bud burst. Leaves are medium, rounded, five-lobed, and deeply dissected. Clusters are small, cylindrical-conical, ranging from medium density to dense. Berries are small, rounded or slightly oval, dark blue in color with a heavy bloom. Yield is unstable, frost resistance is low, and it is sensitive to downy mildew and gray mold.
A wine grape variety. The wines possess a deep red-violet color, velvety texture, and silky tannins. The aroma is dominated by notes of red berries, herbs, and earthy or graphite tones. Acidity is refreshing but can decrease if harvesting is delayed.
