The Ljutun grape variety, also known as Ljutun crni, is a local wine variety that historically developed in the Mediterranean region of Croatia. It is not the result of targeted breeding, but rather represents part of the regional genetic diversity.

The variety is traditionally used in winemaking, most often as part of blends with Plavac mali and Dobričić varieties to improve wine quality. It is characterized by a specific phenolic profile, a high level of total acidity, and moderate sugar accumulation in the berries.

In phytosanitary studies, the variety is mentioned as a carrier of certain viral infections characteristic of local Croatian varieties, which requires efforts to produce virus-free planting material.
