The modern Livora variety is the result of breeding work by Professor Vilém Kraus. It is a wine grape variety with increased resistance to downy mildew (Rpv3 gene) and powdery mildew (Ren3, Ren9 genes), obtained through complex interspecific crossing of the Kerner, Villard blanc, Tramín červený, and Hoelder forms.

Externally, the variety is characterized by medium-sized pentagonal leaves, triangular-shaped bunches of medium density, and round yellow-green berries with a pink hue. The variety is distinguished by medium yield and average timing of phenological phases, and the wine produced from it belongs to the Traminer type.

In older literary sources, the name Livora may act as a local synonym for the Tramín červený variety, so when identifying, it is important to consider the temporal context of the name's usage.
