The variety was obtained by crossing the varieties Alphonse Lavallée and Lignan black. The plant is characterized by high vigor and shoots prone to lodging, which requires the use of trellises. The variety matures approximately 15 days earlier than Alphonse Lavallée.

Bunches are medium-sized, moderately compact. Berries are blue-black in color, round or short-elliptical in shape, with juicy flesh and medium-thickness skin. The variety is prone to slight berry cracking and ovary drop.

The plant is sensitive to downy mildew, powdery mildew, and mites, but is weakly affected by grey mold. The harvest is valued for uniformity of color and suitability for long-term storage and transportation.
