The variety is also known by the names Mataossu and Buzzetto. The leaf is medium to large, wedge-shaped or round, entire or three-lobed. The bunch is medium to large, pyramidal, compact, and winged. The berry is medium-sized, round, greenish-yellow, with a thick skin.
The variety is late-ripening; berry ripening occurs at the end of September — beginning of October. It is cultivated mainly in the provinces of Savona and Genoa. Wines from this variety are characterized by a light yellow color, pronounced acidity, and aromas of citrus, apples, flowers, honey, and mineral notes.
