Muscat Blanc is an ancient grape variety known in the commune of Chambave by the local name Muscat De Chambave. The vines are characterized by vigorous growth. In the Aosta Valley, vineyards are located on slopes at an altitude of 550–750 meters above sea level and are cultivated using the Guyot system.

The variety belongs to the mid to late maturity groups. The berries are round and have a golden hue upon reaching maturity. The plant is demanding in terms of climatic conditions; however, the dry alpine climate and cool nights in the Chambave region contribute to a lower risk of fungal diseases.

This variety is strictly a wine grape and is used for wine production. It is used to make dry, dessert, or passito-style wines from partially dried grapes, characterized by a floral aroma with mineral nuances.
