The variety is a hybrid of Sauvignon Blanc × Riesling, bred in 1969. It is intended exclusively for winemaking and is best adapted to cool regions with growth on steep sunny slopes on slate or primary rock soils.
The plant possesses frost resistance and resistance to downy mildew, and also exhibits low susceptibility to powdery mildew and gray mold. Wines produced from it are characterized by harmony, extractivity, moderate alcohol content, and aromas of apricot and apple.
