The Sauvignon blanc P.25 clone was selected by specialists at the Research Institute for Viticulture and Enology of the University of Pécs in Hungary. It is not an independent new variety or hybrid, but rather a selection unit chosen to improve or stabilize the characteristics of the classic Sauvignon blanc grape variety.

Produce obtained from this clone possesses the aromatic profile characteristic of the variety, including notes of citrus, gooseberry, elderflower, and green herbs, as well as high acidity. The maturity group and biological traits correspond to the base Sauvignon blanc variety.
