The Tardif variety is a wine grape with a slow vegetation cycle, reaching maturity in late October — early November. The bush has a semi-upright growth habit; long pruning is recommended to ensure yield.
Wines from this variety are distinguished by intense color and pronounced tannins. The aromatic profile is characterized by spicy notes due to the high content of the rotundone molecule. Some old vines have shown natural resistance to phylloxera on sandy soils.
