The Tinta Mesquita variety, also designated as Tinta Mesquita T, is a wine grape variety of the species Vitis vinifera L., originating from the northeastern regions of Portugal. Genetic studies confirm its descent from the Marufo and Vinhão varieties.
The variety is classified as a dark-berried grape and is intended exclusively for wine production. Due to its status as a minor variety, detailed agronomic characteristics, such as yield, maturity group, and disease resistance, are represented to a limited extent in open sources.
