The variety is intended for wine production. The flower is hermaphroditic. The young shoot has an open tip with medium-intensity carmine edging and a high density of prostrate hairs.
The young leaf is green, and the underside of the leaf blade is characterized by medium-density pubescence. Due to the long-standing use of the name as a regional designation for various local varieties, agronomic characteristics may vary.
