Variety description

The bush of the variety is medium-vigorous. The leaf is medium-sized, round, five-lobed, medium- or slightly-dissected, with bristly pubescence on the underside. The bunch is small or medium, dense, cylindrical or cylindro-conical in shape. The berry is small, round, blue-black in color with a thick waxy bloom.

The variety is of a medium or medium-late ripening period, characterized by low or inconsistent yields. It is sensitive to frosts and high humidity, and has low resistance to diseases: it is highly susceptible to oidium and gray mold, and moderately to mildew. There is a mutation of the variety, Trousseau gris, used for white wines.
