The variety is classified as a wine grape with a mid-season maturity of 130 to 140 days. Vine vigor varies from medium to strong; the flower is bisexual. Clusters are cylindro-conical or cylindrical in shape, medium-dense or loose, weighing 110–160 g. Berries are dark blue, medium-sized, covered with a thick waxy bloom, with firm skin and juicy, cartilaginous flesh.

The grapevine is characterized by medium winter hardiness down to -19…-21°C and requires covering during the winter period. The variety has high susceptibility to fungal diseases, including downy mildew and powdery mildew. During processing, it produces wines with a rich ruby color, high tannin content, and a specific aroma of cherry, lingonberry, and plum.
