The variety is of very ancient origin, presumably of oriental roots. The berries are large or very large, spheroidal or oval in shape, light golden-yellow in color.
The berry skin is of medium thickness, not very strong, and weakly covered with bloom. The flesh is quite crunchy and juicy, having a simple flavor. The variety does not tolerate transport well and does not store for long on the vine after ripening.
