The variety has ancient local Balkan origins and is the result of a cross between the varieties Coarna Alba and Heunisch Weiss. The plant has medium vigor and forms large, conical clusters of medium density. The berries are large or medium, oval-shaped, changing color from yellow-green to amber.
It belongs to the late-maturing varieties (IV epoch). It is distinguished by abundant and regular fruiting, with a tendency to overproduce when long-pruned. The variety possesses relatively good resistance to gray mold (Botrytis cinerea). The resulting wines are characterized by high acidity, light body, and moderate aromatics.
