Zlatarica Blatska is a local variety of the island of Korčula and acts as one of the parents of the Pošip variety. Currently, the variety is considered rare, is cultivated on limited areas, and is rarely used in independent winemaking.
Zlatarica Vrgorska, or "Golden from Vrgorac," matures in early or medium terms. Bushes are characterized by high vigor and stable yield; the variety is susceptible to downy mildew. Berries accumulate a high sugar content and are used for the production of dry white wines with a pleasant aroma.
