The variety is of Eastern origin and is historically cultivated in Balkan countries. The vine is characterized by vigorous growth. Clusters weighing from 200 to 400 grams consist of large, yellow-green elliptical berries.

The variety belongs to the IV maturity group. Average yield is 12,000–18,000 kg/ha, reaching 25,000 kg/ha under irrigation. Mixed pruning is recommended. The plant is sensitive to downy mildew and gray mold.

The primary use is for fresh consumption and long-term storage, during which marketability is maintained for up to 5–6 months. In some cases, it is used in traditional winemaking, including the production of retsina.
