The variety is a semi-dwarf shrub, which is a clone of the variety Bristol Ruby. The plant is characterized by small dark red or mauve-red flowers and leaves with a characteristic brownish-purple hue.
The variety was obtained by mutation breeding using X-ray irradiation of buds in vitro. It is used in landscaping of gardens and parks, demonstrating adaptability to urban conditions.
