Variety description

The shrub is slow-growing, with an annual growth rate of 10–15 cm. Leaves are oval, finely serrated, and acquire a greenish hue in the shade. Flowers 2.5–4 cm long are gathered in inflorescences of 3–4, the main flowering occurs in June–July, with possible sporadic re-flowering in late summer.

The variety prefers sunny sites with fertile, well-drained soils. Relatively winter hardy, but requires covering in northern conditions; sensitive to waterlogging and cold winds. Used in landscape design for creating contrast compositions and hedges.
