The variety is a dwarf dense shrub, reaching 0.4–0.8 m in height and width. The leaves are elliptical, finely serrated, and have a reddish or copper tint upon unfolding, which changes to dark green over time.
Flowers 2–3 cm in size are gathered in inflorescences of 3–4. The color varies from light pink to light lilac. The main flowering occurs in May–June; the variety also demonstrates reblooming in late summer or autumn.
The plant possesses good winter hardiness and foliage resistance to diseases. It is suitable for single and group plantings, creating borders, as well as for growing in containers.
