Prunus domestica L.
A complex of mite species of the family Tetranychidae that feed on the sap of the common plum. They cause damage to the foliage, leading to yellowing, bronzing, and premature leaf drop.

On the common plum, the two-spotted spider mite, the European red mite, and a specialized species, the fruit tree spider mite, are considered pests. The feeding of these pests leads to the appearance of small light spots at the puncture sites, which later merge, causing the leaf color to change to bronze or marble.
A characteristic sign of infestation is the formation of fine webbing on the underside of leaves, on branches, and sometimes on fruits. Mass reproduction of mites triggers curling and shedding of leaf blades, which leads to general weakening of the tree, reduction in fruit quality, and stunted plant growth.
