Pests

Apple Spider Mite

Malus domestica (Suckow) Borkh.

A group of pests from the Tetranychidae family that damage apple tree leaves by sap-sucking, leading to disrupted photosynthesis, reduced winter hardiness, and premature defoliation.

In the reference 16 varieties crop Apple, where this is mentioned in the description.

The two-spotted spider mite, the European red mite, and the brown fruit mite are common parasites of apple trees. The pests concentrate primarily on the undersides of leaves, causing necrotic spots, a "marbled" appearance, or bronzing of the leaf blade, accompanied by the formation of fine webbing.

During mass outbreaks of red and brown mites, specific symptoms may appear, such as silvery traces on the bark from molting or yellowing of tissues along the veins. These injuries negatively affect the general condition of the tree, significantly weakening its immunity and reducing potential yield.
