The Walliser variety is a type of Swiss chard with white petioles. The vegetation period is approximately 70 days. The plant is tall and produces large dark green leaves with an intense flavor reminiscent of spinach.

The variety possesses high bolting resistance and is adapted to variable weather conditions. The crop can be harvested over a long period from early June to September, provided that external leaves are regularly cut. The variety is suitable for open field and protected cultivation.

The plant is not a hybrid, therefore it is suitable for independent seed saving. For optimal seed germination, a temperature of 18–20 °C is required.
