The root crops of the variety have a flat-round shape. The surface color is diverse and can be yellow, blue, red, or variegated. The flesh of the root crops is juicy, without coarse fibers.

The variety possesses high cold tolerance and is universal in its use: suitable for fresh consumption, roasting, and the preparation of traditional dishes. The harvested crop stores well in cool conditions in sand.

The traditional sowing time falls in mid-summer. For cultivation, loose, water-retaining soils with a pH level from 5.5 to 7.0 are preferred. Young seedlings require protection from pests, in particular, from the cruciferous flea beetle.
