The variety belongs to the 'tomato-shaped pepper' (gogoshar, ratunda) type and is a local variety common in the Balkan region. The fruits have a characteristic rounded, flattened, and ribbed shape, resembling a small pumpkin. At the technical maturity stage, the fruit surface is dark green.
The plant belongs to the mid-late variety group. The fruits have juicy flesh, with a wall thickness of 8–10 mm. The variety is traditionally used fresh, for culinary processing and stuffing, and is also suitable for canning and pickling.
Like other ratunda-type varieties, this pepper is prone to cross-pollination when grown near other pepper types, which may affect the shape and taste of the fruits. Scientific studies use this variety as a classifier when studying the genetic diversity of local pepper varieties.
